Self-confidence is important in many areas of our lives, but so many people struggle to find it. Confidence is a mental process that comes from considering if we are capable of something. Self-confidence is having confidence in oneself when considering taking a course of action. Belief in our capability and being self assured.

Confidence gives us the ability to challenge the unknown and take risks to believe in our ability to cope. Some express it as an inner knowledge or knowing the outcome of a situation. Yet none of us can really know what the future holds.

The feelings of confidence are really nothing more than the result of our inner thoughts and the life experiences we use to support our beliefs. These can support us or hinder us.

These thoughts are generally built around rules, meanings or beliefs that we have adopted through life. Without this meaning the consequences of success or failure is Irrelevant. We would simply have no emotional response to success or failure.

The negative meanings generally revolve around a concept of trying to protect ourselves from being judged negativity. That failure or rejection is a negative personal reflection of our value as a person and that our success is a positive reflection of our self worth
